The planning application to build 6 two storey dwellings on the land next to Muirfield Park on Muirfield Road has been rejected.
Comments made about the application include that it was a cramped form of development, it was out of keeping with the character of the surrounding area and that it was not well designed.
It is currently not known what the future of this land is.
